This Privacy Policy describes how FinCalc ("we", "our", or "the App") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience when using our financial tools.

1. Information We Collect

FinCalc is designed to be a privacy-first application. Most of your data remains on your device. However, certain features require minimal data collection:

• Account Information: If you choose to use Firebase Authentication (Email/Password or Google Sign-In), we collect your email address and basic profile information provided by Google to manage your account and synchronize your settings.
• Financial Data: All financial records, budget information, and expenses you enter are stored locally on your device using an encrypted database (Room). We do not have access to your personal financial records.
• Camera Data: The App requires access to your camera for the Smart Scan (OCR) feature. Images of receipts are processed on-device or via Google's ML Kit to extract text. We do not store or transmit your photos to any external servers.

2. Authentication and Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to provide essential app functionality:

• Firebase Authentication: To provide secure login options via Email/Password and Google Sign-In.
• Google Play Services: Used for app updates, security, and the ML Kit library for OCR processing.
• Retrofit: Used to fetch real-time currency exchange rates from trusted public APIs.

3. Data Usage and Security

We use your information solely to:

• Provide and maintain the App's features.
• Authenticate users and protect against unauthorized access.
• Improve app performance and stability via crash reports (if enabled by your device settings).

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Since your financial data is stored locally, its security also depends on your device's security (PIN, Biometrics).

4. User Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: You can see the data stored in the app at any time.
• Deletion: You can delete your account via the app settings, which will remove your data from Firebase. You can also clear all local data by uninstalling the app or clearing its storage.
• Portability: You can export your data to JSON format via the Settings menu.

5. Children's Privacy

FinCalc does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
